This, I believe to be true...
"Photography is putting one's eye and one's heart on the same axis." ~Henri Cartier Bresson
Born and raised on a dairy farm on the west coast of British Columbia, I truly feel so blessed to have been raised in agriculture. It continues to teach me, ground me, and humble me in the most profound ways.
I met my husband, a fourth generation cattle producer, in 1998, not long after that I made the move from British Columbia to his hometown in central Alberta. I soon fell in love with this place and cannot imagine calling anywhere else home. The wide open spaces, big blue skies and the sunset's still take my breath away, even after all this time.
We are raising our own family now in the same wonderful setting that the two of us were raised in. Of all the things I've done thus far, our two incredible children are, by far, my most wonderful accomplishment.
I have been documenting moments through the lens of a camera since the late 90's. I am based in Alix, Alberta (my office deliberately faces the pasture where the cows are) but I travel for projects around the globe.
I specialize in livestock photography and show/event photography.
Send me an email, I'd love to hear from you!
